About Me

Right know I live in Mexico, Every year I race some triathlons of the National Series Championship, 90% of the races down here are Olympic distance.

I've been manufacturing high performance Socks for big brands, like nike, adidas and puma, and now I'm starting to introduce my own brand "Lucca" to the USA.

Check it out at http://www.luccasport.com/

Our first time in the US market was this september at Interbike in Las Vegas, we received an excellent welcome and comments.

Next year I will be moving to Las Vegas Nevada.

LV Seem to me, like the perfect place to train, I love the weather, the city, the mountains, and there are so many things to do. ( and my wife love's the Shopping)
And to tell you the truth I love shopping to ha-ha!
It's Close to L.A. to San Diego, and close to Flagstaff, Sedona and Tucson, all GREAT PLACES TO TRAIN!!!!!!

So I'm already trying find some training partners.

About where to live in las Vegas looks like Summerlin Area is the place to be, it's very close to Red Rock Canyon, and they tell me there is very good biking roads and trails around.

I usually race as an age grouper, But looks like that in races longer than Olimpic distance, sometimes I got a chance to place top ten in the Elite category.

I got a degree as a Triathlon Coach, and I have plenty of time to train, So Triathlon is a very important part in my life.

Next year I have so many races I want to do.

I'm surely coming back to The Galveston Half where this year I choose to enter in the Elite Category, and I got out of the water in 5th place, then in the bike, in the first of the 2 turnarounds I already was in 4th place, and when I was already seeing the third place, I got a flat tire, and since it was my first time with tubulars it took me almost 12 minutes to change it, so my bike split was 2:30 instead of a couple of minutes below 2:20, and when I was changing the tubular I think I somehow managed to twist my ankle, It didn't show up until the last 3 miles in the Half Marathon where I started feeling the pain, anyway I finished in 1:38 for a total of 4:46 that felt awfull, cause that feeling "I could have done it better" is the worst. So I have to come back.

Theres also the Olympic races in Mexico that all of them are in Great Locations!

I would love to go again to Hawaii, this time to the Kona 70.3.

I want to do the Silverman Half in Las Vegas where I hope to be living there, already.

The Ironman Cancun 70.3, and maybe by the end of the Year The Foster Grant 70.3 World Championships.

I started Triathlon in 1995.
And the highlights in my Triathlon life are:

2005 World Championships in Honolulu, Hawaii. 2:12
Best Olimpic 2:07 Veracruz, Mexico.
Best Long Distance 2/80/20 4:16 Torquay, Australia.

A new mail account... a new blog.. a new Site... How many do we need just to keep up?

So here I am, opening a new e-mail account, a new website, my new blogspot, just because some of my Tri Friends are on this Blog Community.

How many do we really need?

I'm sure we only "need" one.

I could just keep my hotmail account janosotog@hotmail where I have my "Space" and that should be enough right?

Maybe not........long time ago in your hotmail If someone sent you a heavy attachment (3 or 4 pictures ) your inbox was full.

So that's why I opened my yahoo account janosoto@yahoo.com

Then there's my busines account jano@luccasport.com and of course it's website http://www.luccasport.com/

And again, some months ago http://www.iamtri.com/ appeared.................. Sure I had to be there..................... right? a triathletes only web community!
